Fresh off his third championship run in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Kostas Chatzichristos switched from director of performance of Fenerbahce Beko to head of performance team of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.
The Italian club announced the arrival of the 51-year-old Greek trainer, a former staff member of CSKA and Olympiacos, and the senior national team of Greece, on Monday.
Per the press release: “OIimpia Milan today named Kostas Chatzichristos its new head of performance team.
Kostas Chatzichristos, born in Athens on July 25, 1973, started his career in the United States as strength and conditioning coach at the University of Georgia basketball team. Eventually, he came back to Greece to take the same position with Olympiacos Piraeus and Panionios Athens. In 2014, he moved to CSKA Moscow where he stayed until 2022. Following that experience, he landed at Fenerbahce when he helped the team win the EuroLeague in 2025, his third personal EuroLeague win after the 2016 and 2019 successes obtained with CSKA. He served as the Greek National Team strength and conditioning coach from 2021 to 2023, too.”
Preparing for the 2025-26 installments of the EuroLeague and domestic competitions in Italy, the storied club based in Milan has officially confirmed the arrival of Lorenzo Brown, Quinn Ellis, and Marko Guduric, with Vlatko Cancar also confirmed as a new addition to the team guided by legendary Ettore Messina. More roster moves are considered likely for Scarpette Rosse, deeper in the offseason.
