Partizan recently acquired former Los Angeles Lakers guard Shake Milton, but the Belgrade club is reportedly looking for more NBA reinforcements.

The Serbian powerhouse is interested in former Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs center Charles Bassey.

Charles is honored by the interest shown by Basketball Club Partizan. He is definitely considering the offer and will continue discussions with the club and his representative. Other European clubs have also contacted him, but Partizan has been his priority,” Bassey’s representative Mark McNeil told Meridian Sport.

The 24-year-old center from Lagos played three seasons at Western Kentucky before being selected 53rd overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2021 NBA Draft.

After his rookie year in Philly, he spent three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, appearing in 113 regular-season games and averaging 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds.

He also stood out in the G League, earning All-Defensive Team honors, and recently played for the Boston Celtics in the Summer League, where he posted a strong showing — including a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double against the New York Knicks.
