Monaco wanted to send a message after losing at home to Zalgiris Kaunas on opening day and did exactly that on the way to a 103-81 win over EuroLeague newcomer Dubai BC.

Nikola Mirotic, with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, was the top scorer of the winners, who had five more players in double digits, putting on a show for the home crowd.

“We played smart and unselfish basketball”, said a totally satisfied coach Vassilis Spanoulis.

Mfiondu Kabengele with 16 points was the top scorer of the losing side, which closed the game shooting just 20,8% in threes (5/24).

ASVEL claimed their first win of the season, defeating Baskonia 102–95 in Villeurbanne, with Zac Seljaas shining and scoring 23 points!

Nando De Colo added 12, Melvin Ajinça 11, David Lighty 11, while Bodian Masa and Mbaye Ndiaye chipped in 10 points each. For Baskonia, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led with 18 points, and Markus Howard contributed 16.

Valencia secured their second win of the season, defeating Virtus Bologna 103–94 in the opening of the brand-new Roig Arena, thanks to a brilliant 23-point performance from Sergio De Larrea.

Omari Moore and Nate Reuvers added 15 points each for Valencia, while Matt Morgan led the Italian side with 24 points, and Derrick Alston and Carsen Edwards contributed 15 apiece.

Paris closed out EuroLeague Round 2 with a 101–94 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in Belgrade, led by Nadir Hifi’s 21 points. Justin Robinson added 15 and Yakuba Ouattara 12 for the winning side, while Allan Dokossi came close to a double-double with 9 points and 13 rebounds.
