Dubai’s Mfiondu Kabengele was named Most Valuable Player for Round 26 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.
Euroleague Basketball formally confirmed the 28-year-old forward/center as the latest MVP of the Round on Thursday, before the launch of the second half of a double-game week.
Per the press release: “EuroLeague fans have already grown accustomed to the dominance of Dubai Basketball center Mfiondu Kabengele in his first season in the competition. He delivered another statement performance in the opening game of the double-round week, earning Round 26 MVP honors as Dubai defeated Olympiacos Piraeus 108-98 in the first overtime game in club history.
Kabengele finished with a PIR of 30, the highest among all winning players, after leading Dubai with a 21-point, 14-rebound double-double. He scored efficiently, going 7-of-14 on two-point attempts, 1-of-3 from beyond the arc and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line, while also contributing 2 assists, 1 steal and drawing 2 fouls. The performance earned Kabengele the MVP of the Round award for the first time in his career, making him Dubai’s first-ever recipient and just the second Canadian to claim the honor, following Kevin Pangos.
Nate Reuvers of Valencia Basket also recorded a PIR of 30, but his team suffered a 107-90 road loss to Anadolu Efes Istanbul. Reuvers scored 30 points on 5-of-8 two-point shooting, 6-of-8 from three-point range and 2-of-3 at the free-throw line, while adding 3 rebounds, 1 block and drawing 3 fouls.
Bruno Fernando of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade posted a PIR of 29 in a 95-93 road loss to Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv. He finished with 17 points on 6-of-8 two-pointers and 5-of-6 free throws, along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 7 fouls drawn.
Devin Booker of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan recorded a PIR of 28 as his team defeated Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 109-89. With center Josh Nebo sidelined due to injury, Booker totaled 21 points on 7-of-10 two-pointers, 2-of-2 three-pointers and 1-of-1 from the line, to go with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 5 fouls drawn.
Ercan Osmani of Efes, Iffe Lundberg of Maccabi, Kostas Sloukas of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, Alex Len of Real Madrid and Azuolas Tubelis of Zalgiris Kaunas rounded out the top individual performances of Round 26, each posting a PIR of 27.
Osmani contributed 20 points, 7 rebounds, drew 5 fouls and committed no turnovers in Efes’s win over Valencia. Lundberg finished with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 3 fouls drawn as Maccabi beat Partizan. Sloukas recorded 22 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and drew 8 fouls in Panathinaikos’s 82-81 win over Real Madrid, while Len added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 6 fouls drawn in the same game. Tubelis capped the group with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 7 fouls drawn in Zalgiris’s 104-87 victory over AS Monaco.
Individual highs: Mike James, Monaco, 10 assists
Reuvers led all scorers with 30 points in Round 26. Kendrick Nunn of Panathinaikos is now the competition’s top scorer at 19.4 points per game.
Kabengele was this round’s best rebounder, pulling down 14. Nikola Milutinov of Olympiacos leads the overall standings at 7.6 boards per night.
Mike James of AS Monaco was the only player to reach double digits in assists, dishing 10. Codi Miller-McIntyre of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade ranks first overall at 6.8 assists per game.
Justin Robinson of Paris Basketball and Bar Timor of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv collected 5 steals apiece in Round 26. Alpha Diallo of Monaco remains atop the overall standings at 1.5 steals per game.
Kai Jones of Efes and Dan Oturu of Hapoel had 3 blocks apiece in this round. Walter Tavares of Real Madrid leads the EuroLeague in blocks at 1.9 per game.
Mike James (19 points, 10 assists) and Mfiondu Kabengele (21 points, 14 rebounds) were the only players to register a double-double in Round 26.”
