Anadolu Efes recorded a victory in the 37th round of the Euroleague, defeating Dubai in Sarajevo with a score of 85-69.
Rodrigue Beaubois was outstanding, scoring 18 points, Ercan Osmani added 14, Sehmus Hazer and Jordan Loyd added 13 each, while PJ Dozier had 10. Dzanan Musa led Dubai with 13 points, Aleksa Avramovic had one less, and Mfiondu Kabengele finished the game with 11.
Dubai had the imperative to win this match but ended up with a shocking and very convincing defeat.
It turned out that the key was the second quarter, which Efes won 27-13, paving the way to victory. Dubai managed to come back at the start of the fourth quarter, closing the gap to just seven points (59-66), but Efes countered with two three-pointers, ultimately securing the win.
Anadolu Efes now stands at 12-25 and will face Panathinaikos away in the final round. On the other hand, Dubai’s loss put them in a difficult situation.
They are now at 19-18, outside the Play-in zone, and must win against Valencia at home in the last round, while also needing several results to go their way if they want to continue in the competition.
