TyTy Washington is the new point guard of ASVEL, the French club announced on social media, continuing their run of signings over the last 24 hours.
ASVEL brought in Tremont Waters, then Hugo Besson, and on Monday they announced the signing of Mathis Dossou-Yovo. However, Tony Parker’s club did not stop there.
The team’s new point guard is TyTy Washington, who arrives from the Los Angeles Clippers, for whom he played 16 games in the NBA.
The former Kentucky student began his career in 2022, when he joined the Houston Rockets, and in the NBA he also played for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns before moving to the Clippers. ASVEL will be his first European club.
Previously, ASVEL has also signed Joel Bolomboy, Myles Cale, Jae Crowder, Marc-Owen Fodzo Dada, Both Gach, Patty Mills and Nate Sestina.

Trained at the University of Kentucky, TyTy Washington has quickly established himself as one of the best young point guards in American college basketball. Selected in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, 29th overall, he then played for the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers playing 74 games in the American League.
After his experiences in the NBA and G League, he arrived at LDLC ASVEL with the desire to continue his progression at the highest level. A modern point guard, capable of creating his own shot as well as highlighting his teammates, Washington also has a real ability to speed up the game and take responsibility in important moments.
He will wear the number 3.”
