The Greek coach, despite missing Matt Lojeski, believes that his team is eager to get the job done at Game 1: “We are entering the stage of the playoffs and certainly those are the games we waited for a long time. We started in October and worked hard for six and a half months to get the home advantage. We have before us an opportunity to get to the Final Four by defending our home. But this is not going to be easy because we face a well-trained team which is playing great during the last two months. Anadolu Efes has a very athletic roster that plays at a fast pace. They have build chemistry and has many dangerous players. We worked all year long for these games. We focus only at Game 1. We expect our fans to fill the stands, very few tickets are not sold yet. We hope for a sold out”.

Kostas Papanikolaou added: “Efes had a great second half of the regular season and especially during the last few games. They are a very aggressive team with talent, big bodies, they are good at offensive rebounds, they like to play fast. I think that the offensive rebounds and the easy turnovers was what made us lose to them on the road during the regular season. Certainly those games are not going to be the same. We are focused 100%, we want to start the right way and get the first win”.
