The past few days have been rather eventful for Panathinaikos, after losing the playoffs series against Fenerbahce. On top of all that, the team had to return to Athens by bus, as the team’s president, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, cancelled the flight back home as a means of punishment.

The Greens arrived to the Greek capital this morning at 7 a.m., with Xavi Pascual giving two days off to his players. In the meantime, a meeting between the coach and team’s president is expected to be held.

Its main purpose will be to discuss Pascual’s future in the team, as well as what is to happen with the 4 players that refused to take the bus on the way home, including three-times Euroleague champion with Panathinaikos Antonis Fotsis.
