Olympiacos bounced back from a tough loss earlier in the week and tied the series against Anadolu Efes by prevailing 62-74 in Game 4. Natural born leader as he is, Vassilis Spanoulis paced the Reds with 18 points.

A much better defense helped Olympiacos bounce back in the second quarter, as Spanoulis reduced the deficit to 1 point with a little over a minute left before halftime. The Turkish team kept a brief 3 point head after 20′, with 38-35.

Vangelis Mantzaris placed the visitors ahead for the first time in the game with 38-40, then Bryant Dunston tied the score. Another 3-pointer, this time by Spanoulis came shortly after with Dogus Balbay answering it. The speed of the game kept accelerating, with respective long distance shots by both teams. After 3 quarters, the Greek team kept a short advantage with 54-55.

For the first time in the game, the visiting team grabbed a 7-point lead with a 7-0 run early in the final period. Giannis Sfairopoulos’ team advantage expanded to 11 points.
