Anadolu Efes Istanbul prevailed over Brose Bamberg at home with 69-58 in Round 15 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Ergin Ataman’s squad improved to a 4-11 record, while the visitors fell to 6-9.

The key: With a 15-2 run early in the final period, the Turkish side managed to grab the lead and the momentum of the game had shifted. From that point on, the hosts left no choice to Brose but to surrender to their overwhelming partial 25-10 run in the last 10 minutes.

After being down 0-4 in the opening period, Simon registered a three-pointer which put the hosts ahead 10-6 at 5′. By the end of the period, the German side stayed up 18-15.

Maodo Lo kept the momentum up for the visitors, expanding their lead to 28-19, while a little later with his own three-pointer Bamberg grabbed a 33-25 advantage with 3 minutes left in the second period. At halftime, Andrea Trinchieri’s squad kept the upper hand with 38-29.

Augustine Rubit pushed the Germans to a 15-point advantage at 23′ (44-29), soon enough though the hosts bounced back as Bryant Dunston reduced to 4 points (48-44) at the end of the third period.

The stars: Errick McCollum and Derrick Brown were Efes‘ leaders, tapping 19 and 21 points each

Not enough: Ricky Hickman finished the game with 10 points for the visiting side.
