After the win over Panathinaikos, AEK Athens also downed Khimki Moscow.

AEK forced Khimki to just nine points in the fourth quarter to ultimately win 71 – 64 and double its victories in the preseason “OPAP” Basketball Tournament” that is taking place in Cyprus.

Vince Hunter led AEK with 16 points and seven rebounds while Malcolm Griffin added 14 points. Team captain Dusan Sakota had nine points plus nine rebounds for the Greek team that had defeated Panathinaikos Friday (13/9).

This was the second loss for an Alexey Shved-less Khimki in the tournament following the game vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv. Tony Crocker scored 16 points, Anthony Gill finished with 11 points and five rebounds and Jordan Mickey also dropped 11 points.
