Dominant start for Anadolu Efes!

Dusan Ivkovic’s team made a great start to the Turkish Basketball League and beat Galatasaray 71-60 in the Turkish derby.

As the opening game against Koniasport was postponed, Anadolu Efes started this year’s campaign from Abdi Ipekci where they faced Galatasaray.

Ivkovic’s players played great defence in the last quarter, when they conceded only seven points, and with Jason Granger (22 points) and Derrick Brown (15 points) scoring crucial field goals, they earned the victory. Bryant Dunston was dominant on both ends of the floor, adding a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds). On the other hand, Blake Shilb, Errick McCollum and Joey Dorsey scored 14 points in total for Galatasaray, which didn’t find solutions offensively and lost the match.
