Banvit forced Anadolu Efes to first defeat of the season, by beating Velimir Perasovic‘s team at home with 69-68. The winners now have 7 wins in 7 games and Efes stands at 6-1.

Right from the first period, the hosts were tough of Efes, leading 24-19 after 10 minutes. Cedi Osman had half of his team’s points during that time. The pace of the game was rather slow in the second period, with Banvit going to the lockers with a 39-33 advantage.

Derrick Brown led Efes in the second half, reaching 17 points by the end of the third period, though his team was still down by 2, 54-52. Both teams went head to head until the end, with the hosts finally managing to prevail.
