Rodions Kurucs becomes the latest player to sign with a very busy in the offseason Murcia team.

UCAM Murcia announced the addition of forward Rodions Kurucs for the upcoming season. The former NBAer returns to Spain where he previously played for Barcelona and Real Betis.

Kurucs, 25, averaged 10.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League with SIG Strasbourg while posting 10.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in the French League.

From 2018 to 2021, Kurucs played in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks. The Latvian player averaged 8.5 points and 3.9 rebounds as a rookie with the Nets but his numbers dropped in the following seasons.

He then returned to Europe with Partizan Belgrade before joining Real Betis in 2022.

Apart from Kurucs, Murcia has also signed such players as guard Dylan Ennis, swingman Howard Sant-Roos, guard Lude Hakanson and guard Troy Caupain this summer.
