A brilliant display by 25-year-old Prentiss Hubb leads to the Player of the Week distinction in the Basketball Champions League

AEK Betsson’s Prentiss Hubb was named Basketball Champions League Player of the Week.

The 25-year-old American point guard prevailed in a fan vote opposite Tyson Carter, James Palmer Jr., William Howard, and Fran Guerra to bank in the individual award on Friday.

The former Notre Dame standout has averaged 13.4 points per game in his second BCL campaign but scored a career-high 30 points in a home win against Bertram Derthona Tortona on Tuesday.

Fueled by the crowd in Sunel Arena, he tucked in 10/14 from the field, including five three-pointers, besides also stuffing the stat sheet with six rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 29 minutes.

Debuting in the Champions League with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the 2022-23 season, he ended up with 15.9 points per contest.
