Elan Chalon was looking to secure the services of Grant Golden during the offseason, but finally picked him up for the remainder of the 2025-26 season on Friday afternoon.
Starting from a Qualification Tournament in Samokov, Bulgaria, the team coached by Elric Delord entered the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, and went on to rank second in Group B of the Regular Season behind a 5-1 record. After sweeping a best-of-three Play-In series versus Promitheas Vikos Cola, the continental campaign is set to continue in Group K of the Round of 16. The next opponents are Final Four host Joventut Badalona, back-to-back champion Unicaja, and Fitness First Wurzburg. On Wednesday, the Gameday 1 challenge is against Badalona in Pavello Olimpic.
Golden, 28, introduced himself to the league last season, helping AEK Betsson rank third in the Final Four powered by SUNEL. So far this season, he suited up for BAXI Manresa, averaging 8.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.2 blocks per BKT EuroCup game over 14 appearances, including seven starts, and 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks per ACB game over 15 appearances in Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season. The former Richmond standout also spent one season in Italy after opening his professional career in the G League.

Heading to Group J of the BCL Round of 16, Karditsa Iaponiki completed a roster addition on Thursday, signing Nikos Kamarianos. With his last appearance way before Golden, the 28-year-old forward is also returning to the BCL after seven games with PAOK mateco in the 2021-22 season.
