Tenerife secured a victory in the fourth round of Group L in the Round of 16 in the BCL by defeating the Nymburk team away with a score of 69-55.
The top scorer for the winning team was Wesley Van Beck with 21 points, three more than Bruno Fitipaldo. For the home team, Sir’Jabari Rice was once again the top scorer, this time with 16 points, along with nine rebounds and six assists. However, he was the only player in double figures for his team.
After a loss to Gran Canaria in the previous round during the Spanish derby, Tenerife returned to winning ways with their second victory against the Czechs this season.
The visitors gradually built their lead and entered the final ten minutes with a six-point advantage (53-47). In the last quarter, they did not allow their rivals to mount a comeback, as Nymburk scored only eight points in ten minutes, and the Spaniards calmly closed out the game in Prague, where this match was played.
Tenerife now holds a record of 3-1 and is very close to reaching the top eight teams, a goal they could achieve in the next round when they will host Gran Canaria. As for Nymburk, they have one win and three losses, and the fifth round brings them a clash against Trieste on their home ground.
