The Czechs remains in the race for advancement, while the Italians are out

Nymburk secured a victory in the fifth round match of group L in the Round of 16 in the Basketball Champions League, defeating Trieste 82-76 on their home court.

Goran Filipovic led the hosts to victory with 21 points, Jay Shumate scored 16, and Tony Perkins added 14. On the other side, Jahmius Ramsey scored 19 points, two more than Jarrod Uthoff, while Mady Sissoko had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Italians started the game better and had the lead after the first half (37-42). However, everything changed in the third quarter. Nymburk won it 27-10, gained a double-digit lead, and ultimately secured the victory.

With this triumph, the Czechs remain in the race for advancement. They hold a 2-3 record and must root for Tenerife in their match against Gran Canaria, then defeat Gran Canaria in the sixth round to advance. On the other hand, Trieste has a 1-4 record and is eliminated with this loss. In the final round, they will host Tenerife.
