Strasbourg announced on Monday that it has signed a contract with Jaylen Hands, an American point guard who finished last season with Murcia.
The Basketball Champions League club has continued to strengthen its roster, and Hands is the latest in a series of new players for the French team.
He began his European career with FMP and has played for PAOK, Ludwigsburg, Antwerp, Peristeri, Palencia, Varese, and Panionios.
Per press release: “SIG Strasbourg is pleased to make official the signing of Jaylen Hands (1.91 m, 27 years old) for the 2026-2027 season. The American combo-guard reinforces the outside line by bringing his explosive profile, his long-range skill and his ability to create his own shot. After a rich career between the NCAA, the G-League and several European championships, Jaylen will certainly be an experienced offensive asset for coach Gailītis’ group.
Originally from San Diego, Jaylen Hands attended UCLA, where he played for two seasons, in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 before being drafted to the NBA in the second round in 2019 by the Los Angeles Clippers, before being sent to the Brooklyn Nets. On the East Coast, he discovered the G-League with the Long Island Nets during the 2019-2020 season, where he crossed paths with a former SIGman, Rodions Kurucs. In 2020-2021, he took his first steps in Europe in Belgrade, before continuing the following season in Germany, in Ludwigsburg, and then at the Antwerp Giants, which allowed him to discover a European competition for the first time with the FIBA Europe Cup, mainly in a bench role, with 17 starts in 45 games.”
