Israeli national team boss Oded Kattash has been forced to make some changes for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in September and is expected to publish the official roster tomorrow, according to Walla.

Maccabi Tel Aviv captain John DiBartolomeo will join the squad and it will be the first time since 2007 and Jeron Roberts that the naturalized player in Israeli national team will be a guard and not a center.

DiBartolomeo will replace Hapoel Jerusalem center Richard Howell who failed the doping test he underwent after a perfect performance in Game 1 of Israeli League quarterfinals.

Another problem for Israel is the continued absence of Omri Casspi. Memphis Grizzlies player did not appear in the first stage of the World Cup qualifiers due to obligations during the NBA season and was also released from the squad for the upcoming games.

Israeli national team will face Georgia on September 13 and Germany on September 16.
