With several incidents in the Peace and Friendship Stadium disrupting Game 2 of the Stoiximan GBL Finals, Olympiacos went from a comfortable lead to settling with a 91-83 victory versus Panathinaikos Aktor.

Pushing the Reds to 1-1 in a best-of-five championship series, Tyler Dorsey and Thomas Walkup shared a game-high 16 points, with the latter tucking in 5/5 field goals on Sunday evening. Sasha Vezenkov combined 15 points with eight rebounds. Joining the mix, Shaquielle McKissic produced a fourth double-digit scoring contribution with ten points.

On the wrong end of the eternal derby, Kostas Sloukas put up 16 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and four steals. Ioannis Papapetrou also tallied 16 points. Dealing with foul trouble, Kendrick Nunn finished with ten points, making 3/9 from the field in 19 minutes.

With 2:33 remaining in the fourth period and with a late comeback bid falling narrowly short, the head coach of the Greens, Ergin Ataman, was tossed after being issued a second technical foul.

After making his way to SEF, team owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos was ejected shortly before the tipoff, following early incidents spread between his reactions and chants. The situation eventually led to a prosecutor’s arrest order, according to Olympiacos.

Besides Marius Grigonis in back surgery rehab for most of the 2024-25 campaign, Lorenzo Brown, Mathias Lessort, and Tibor Pleiss were inactive for the defending champions in Game 2. Also, Wenyen Gabriel suffered a right foot injury and exited late in the fourth quarter.

Compared to Game 1, McKissic replaced injured Luca Vildoza in the lineup. Other sidelined players for head coach Giorgos Bartzokas were Keenan Evans, Nigel Williams-Goss, and Moses Wright.
