Those who managed to read the post-it on the back of the phone of the new owner of PAOK, Telis Mystakidis, at the PAOK Sports Arena were aware of what was to come:
Pat Beverly is joining PAOK, or at least he is a target of the club.
The name of the 37-year-old American point guard was written along with that of Bryn Tyree (announced) & Timmy Allen (coming soon) and is expected in Thessaloniki to strengthen the effort of Jure Zdovc and his players in Stoiximan GBL, Greek Cup & FIBA Europe Cup.
The former NBA player (Rockets 2013-17, Clippers 2017-21, Timberwolves 2021-22, Lakers 2022-23, Bulls 2023, Sixers 2023-24, Bucks 2024), who also was an Olympiacos player (2009-10), will return to Europe, where he was until last February for Dimitris Itoudis’ Hapoel Tel Aviv.
