Germani Basket Brescia dominated Virtus Segafredo Bologna 97 – 83 and is the last team to qualify for the Italian Cup semifinals. The Vitali bros combined for 37 points.

Brescia had a breakout start and took a 26 – 17 lead. The winners kept the lead despite Alessandro Gentile’s 11 first-half points. Then, the Italian international suffered a muscle injury and he was done for the game. Bologna couldn’t compete for the victory without his best man on the court.

Lee Moore led Brescia in scoring with 22 while Luca Vitali had 20 and Michele Vitali added 17. Kenny Lawson finished with 17 for the losing side.

In the other quarterfinal of the day, Olimpia Milano was smashed. With the Italian Cup champs out of the competition, Brescia will face Cantu in semifinals. Yesterday, Torino and Cremona advanced to the next round.
