New Orleans Pelicans have dismissed coach Alvin Gentry after five seasons, as the team confirmed via a press release Saturday, following the team’s disappointing return in the bubble where they recorded two victories in eight games.
According to reports by ESPN’s Andrew Lopez and Adrian Wojnarowski, LA Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue is considered a leading candidate to replace Gentry, while LA Lakers‘ assistant coach Jason Kidd and Brooklyn Nets interim coach Jacque Vaughn are also potential candidates for the spot.
