It was Luka Doncic that recorded the triple-double but Nikola Jokic who got the win in the end in Monday’s clash between the two European All-Stars.

Jokic finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds for his 17th double-double in 17 games of the regular season so far, as the Nuggets beat the Mavericks 117 – 113 on the road.

Doncic had the 31st triple-double of his NBA career by posting 35 points, 16 assists and 11 rebounds while Kristaps Porzingis added 16 points and six rebounds. They and the Mavs came back from a 12-point halftime deficit to close the third period up 94 – 92 but the Nuggets made a 7 – 0 run to retake the lead and keep it.

After two straight losses, the Orlando Magic defeated the Charlotte Hornets 117 – 108 behind Nikola Vucevic’s 28 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. It was the 13th triple-double this season for the Montenegrin big man.

Evan Fournier contributed 19 points and six assists for the Magic.

Daniel Theis posted 19 points on 8-12 shots to help the Boston Celtics down the Chicago Bulls 119 – 103. Lauri Markkanen finished with 18 points and six rebounds for Chicago while Thomas Satoransky had six assists and three points.
