The Euro big guys delivered last night in the NBA.

Jusuf Nurkic had one of his best game of the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes to help the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Brooklyn Nets 128 – 109 on the road. It was the third straight road win for the Blazers and a valuable one in their pursuit of climbing above the seventh place in the Western Conference.

Enes Kanter had nine rebounds off the bench to go with his four points. For the Nets, that were minus Kevin Durant, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored six points. Former CSKA Moscow star Mike James finished with a season-high 15 points.

Jonas Valanciunas returned to producing double-doubles and the Memphis Grizzlies went back to winning. The Lithuanian center had 14 points and 15 rebounds in the 92 – 75 bounce-back victory over the Orlando Magic that improved Memphis to 32 – 30.

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points but the Utah Jazz couldn’t stop Devin Booker (31 points) and the Phoenix Suns‘ offense and lost 121 – 100 in a battle for the first place in the West.

Dario Saric contributed eight points to the Suns win. Rudy Gobert delivered eight points and 10 rebounds while Ersan Ilyasova finished with six points for the Jazz.
