The Memphis Grizzlies held on to beat the San Antonio Spurs 100-96 to keep their playoffs hopes alive and keep the latter out of the playoffs for the second season straight.

Jonas Valanciunas dominated both ends of the court to lift Memphis to this win with 23 points and 23 rebounds, a season-high for the Lithuanian big man and his 50th double-double for the season.

Dillon Brooks had 24 points for the Grizzlies, while on the other end of the court, DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay each posted 20 points.

The Grizzlies will next play at Golden State Warriors on Friday for the No. 8 seed and a first-round playoffs series starting Sunday against top-seeded Utah. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Warriors 103-100 on Wednesday night to take the No. 7 seed and a first-round spot against the Phoenix Suns.

Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 25 points, LeBron James had a triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, including a game-winning three-pointer that placed the Lakers ahead with less than a minute remaining, and Dennis Schroder posted 12 points and 5 assists.
