The Hawks are just one win away from the semifinals

The Atlanta Hawks are one win away from reaching the Eastern Conference semifinals, after beating the New York Knicks 113-96 to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

Danilo Gallinari had a key contribution coming off of the bench with 21 points and 4 rebounds for the Hawks, while Trae Young led all scorers with 27 points. Clint Capela posted 10 points and 15 boards and Bogdan Bogdanovic contributed 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for his team.

Julius Randle paced the Knicks with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and RJ Barrett had 21 points.

Luka Doncic had 19 points, Kristaps Porzingis posted 18 and Boban Marjanovic added 12, though the Dallas Mavericks fell to the LA Clippers 106-81, as the latter tied the series 2-2 in the Western Conference playoffs.

Kawhi Leonard led the efforts of the Clippers with 29 points, 10 rebounds,  Paul George had 20 points and Nicolas Batum added 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners.

The Phoenix Suns held on to take a 100-92 win over reigning champions Los Angeles Lakers to tie the series at 2-2, as Devin Booker and Jae Crowder led all scorers of the team with 17 points each. LeBron James had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Lakers, while Dennis Schroder added 8 points and 4 rebounds.

Kyrie Irving erupted with 39 points, 11 rebounds to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 141-126 victory against the Boston Celtics, helping the Nets get a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference first round of the playoffs. James Harden added 23 points and 18 assists, while on the other end of the court Jayson Tatum was also explosive with a 40-point performance for the Celtics.
