The Brooklyn Nets are interested in signing free-agent forward/center Isaiah Hartenstein and would also be interested in acquiring Kevin Love if he agrees to a buyout with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Hartenstein, 23, is an unrestricted free agent. He last played for the Cavs logging 8.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per NBA game over 16 appearances in the bottom end of the 2020-21 season. The German big carries a total of 99 games played between the Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, and Houston Rockets.

Love, 32, NBA champion in 2016 and five-time All-Star, has two years and approximately $60M left in his contract. Despite recent rumors of talks toward a buyout, following reports on his current status, including ESPN, rule out that option. Last season, his 7th at Cleveland and 13th overall in the NBA, he put up 18.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest.

The Nets would need to open up a roster to spot to fit in any potential late addition to the squad.
