The Brooklyn Nets are trading former All-Star center DeAndre Jordan to the Detroit Pistons according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Jordan may not stay in Detroit though since the Pistons are planning to work on a buyout agreement for the remainder of the player’s two-year, 20M contract.

Wojnarowski also reports that if Jordan becomes a free agent, then the Los Angeles Lakers are a frontrunner to sign him.

While the Nets are sending Jordan away, they are getting back former No. 1 pick Jahlil Okafor and French forward Sekou Doumbouya in return, along with four second-round picks and $5.78M.

Doumbouya is leaving the Pistons after two underwhelming seasons during which he didn’t meet the club’s expectations when they selected him with the 15th overall pick in 2019. During his stint at the Pistons, the 20-year-old player averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.3 minutes over 94 games.
