The NBA announced Tuesday a very special celebration to honor its 75th season, with an elite of players featured on the 75th Anniversary Team, which will be unveiled in the 2021-22 season-opening week, from October 19 through October 21.

On each of the three days, 25 members of the team will be announced, representing a cross-section of positions and eras from the NBA’s illustrious history. A distinguished panel of media members, current and former players, coaches, GMs, and team executives will have a say in the final selection.

The league picked Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, Bob Pettit, and Oscar Robertson, as well as 14-time NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki, as the ambassadors for the 2021-22 season as part of the “NBA 75,”. The ambassadors, all representing different eras of the league, will appear throughout the 75th Anniversary Season and they are expected to have a strong presence at the upcoming NBA All-Star 2022 in Cleveland.
