After a fairly good start with the big majority of players vaccinated and avoiding the coronavirus successfully, the NBA has been struck by a wave of positive cases in December.

The most recent wave of positives includes seven cases within the Brooklyn Nets, three cases among the Milwaukee Bucks, and three cases in the LA Lakers. And some of the names are irreplaceable for the respective teams.

Milwaukee will have to do without Giannis Antetokounmpo who was joined in the protocols by Wes Matthews and Dante DiVincenzo.

The Lakers registered the same number of cases with Talen Horton-Tucker being the initial positive and Dwight Howard, Malik Monk followed.

The Brooklyn Nets, however, got the bad end of the stick with more cases than both the Bucks and the Lakers combined. A total of seven.

Paul Millsap entered the protocols at the start of the week but just a day after, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre’ Bembry, James Johnson and Jevon Carter joined him followed by James Harden and Bruce Brown later in the day.
