Jokic delivers game-winning block, Doncic scores 45 in loss

Nikola Jokic added another game-winning block to his achievements while Luka Doncic couldn’t push Dallas past Clippers despite a 45-point display

Among the packed NBA schedule in the night which was marked by LeBron James becoming the all-time leading scorer, there was lots of other noteworthy displays on the court.

One of those was certainly Nikola Jokic who logged 28 points, 15 rebounds and six assists to lead Denver past Toronto. He stepped up defensively in the final seconds, making a block that kept the final score at 110-109.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic shredded the LA Clippers once again in the second of back-to-back games but this time the Mavericks ended up on the losing side. Luka put up 45 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists to follow up his previous 51-9-6 stat line. Ivica Zubac had 11 points, ten boards, six assists for the LA squad.

DeMar DeRozan also had a historic night, joining Michael Jordan in Bulls history as the second player to have scored 35 or more points in five straight games. Jordan made that happen four times in his career. Nikola Vucevic helped out the Bulls in the 106-101 win over Oklahoma with 31 points, 15 boards.

A huge performance was recorded in Philadelphia as well. Joel Embiid banked in 40 points while also adding 14 rebounds and ten assists in the 103-93 win over Cleveland. Turkish representatives in the matchup, Furkan Korkmaz and Cedi Osman, scored nine and 12 points respectively on the opposing sides.

Domantas Sabonis helped the Kings get another win with 16 points, 11 boards, seven assists against Deni Avdija’s Wizards. Avdija scored ten points. Meanwhile, Jonas Valanciunas had 17 points, 12 boards in the loss to Spurs for which Jakob Poeltl had seven points, 11 boards.

Jusuf Nurkic (12 points, 20 rebounds, six assists) and Franz Wagner (12 points) also had solid outings.
