Luka Magic powered the Dallas Mavericks to a morale-boosting victory, to force the Los Angeles Lakers out of a play-in spot with seven games remaining in the regular season

Luka Doncic powered the Dallas Mavericks to a 128-110 victory over the injury-plagued Los Angeles Lakers at home with his 46th career triple-double. Doncic scored 34 points, along with 12 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the Mavs to their second straight win and push for the 4th seed in Western Conference with a 47-29 record.

Reggie Bullock added 17 points to the hosts’ efforts, Davis Bertans had 14 points and 5 rebounds in 15 minutes while coming off the bench while Dwight Powell and Jalen Brunson each scored 12.

In the wake of the absences of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Malik Monk led the Lakers with 28 points and Russell Westbrook had 25 points and 8 rebounds. With this defeat, the Lakers are forced to a tie (31-44) with the San Antonio Spurs for the final place of the play-in tournament. Both teams still have seven games left in the regular season and the Spurs own the tiebreaker.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Philadelphia 76ers 118-116 on the road to bounce back after a defeat to Grizzles. Giannis went off for 40 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, and a game-winning block on Joel Embiid in the final seconds to save the day for the reigning champs.

Khris Middleton added 22 points, Jrue Holiday posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists and Brook Lopez tapped 17 points for the Bucks.

James Harden led the Sixers with 32 points, Embiid had a double-double of 29 points, 14 rebounds along with 7 assists and Tobias Harris scored 22 points and 11 rebounds. The Sixers have lost their second game in a row to drop to the 4th seed in Eastern Conference.

DeMar DeRozan scored 32 points and Nikola Vucevic added 27 for the Chicago Bulls as they swept the Washington Wizards 107-94 on the road to remain alone in the fifth place of the Eastern Conference. Rui Hachimura had 21 points to lead the way for the Wizards, Kentavius Caldwell-Pope added 20, Kristaps Porzingis picked up a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and Deni Avdija added 14 points and 8 rebounds from the bench.

Kevin Durant had a gamenight-high performance with 41 points, 11 rebounds to help the Brooklyn Nets complete the sweep against the Detroit Pistons with a 130-123 win at home. Kyrie Irving scored 24 points in his second home game appearance since New York lifted the vaccine mandate for athletes and Bruce Brown had 15 points for the Nets. Cade Cunningham posted 34 points to lead the already-eliminated Pistons, while Saqqid Bey and Isaiah Steward each scored 15 points.

Paul George returned to action after being sidelined for three months with an elbow injury, to boost the LA Clippers in their 121-115 win over the Utah Jazz at home. George scored a game-high 34 points for the Clippers that remain play-in bound. Reggie Jackson followed with 21 points and Luke Kennard had 17 from the bench. Donovan Mitchell had 33 points for the Jazz, which have now lost their fifth in a row, Mike Conley scored 19 and Rudy Gobert grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds along with 9 points.
