Lauri Markkanen scored a season-high 32 points and the Jazz recovered after blowing a 15-point lead to beat the Atlanta Hawks 125-119.

Hawks opponents had made only 32.5% of their 3-pointers, the lowest mark in the league before Utah sank 17 of 39 (43.6%). Many of those 3s were open catch-and-shoot attempts.

“That’s kind of our thing,” said Finland’s pride Markkanen, who went 6 of 8 from long range. “We keep the ball popping and everybody is having fun. Just keep having fun. Keep knocking them down.”

Jordan Clarkson had 23 points, his fifth straight game with at least 20, to give the Western Conference-leading Jazz (10-3) their fourth straight win. Swiss big man Clint Capela had a double-double for the losing side (15 p. 19 r.).

German sensation Franz Wagner scored 22 points and the Orlando Magic held Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic under 30 points for the first time this season in a 94-87 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Doncic, the NBA’s leading scorer, finished with 24 points after scoring 30 or more in each of the Mavericks‘ first nine games. He shot 9 for 29 overall and 2 for 11 from 3-point range.

The Magic played for the first time this season without Italian-American rookie Paolo Banchero, who sprained his ankle Monday night. German forward Maxi Kleber added 8 points for the losing side.

Limited by foul trouble, Serb center Nikola Jokic scored 24 points in 21 minutes and helped the Denver Nuggets overcome an 18-point deficit in the second half to rally past the Indiana Pacers 122-199

Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis scored 21 points and the Sacramento Kings beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-120. Turkish forward Cedi Osman had seven points for the losing side.
