Seeking wins and eventually championships. Not much of a secret for LeBron James.

Despite missing Anthony Davis (right foot) in recent weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers have racked up five wins in a row jumping to 19-21 in the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season.

“Y’all know what the f- should be happening,” mentioned James to The Athletic, “I don’t need to talk.”

James, 38, all but made clear desiring more help on the court. His concern is the front office seeking ways to improve the roster, namely through trades. The winning streak merely reduced the deficit from the Playoff zone of the Western Conference, while steadily closing in on the Play-In zone.

The four-time NBA champion has logged 31 starting appearances this season. Producing 29.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, he prevented a larger distance in the hunt for a postseason berth. Since becoming champions in 2020, the Lakers were held to a first-round exit in the 2021 Playoffs and missed the 2022 Playoffs.

In an earlier interview with ESPN, James looking into the future reiterated his goal of playing in the NBA alongside his oldest son, Bronny James.

“I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny,” he said. “Either in the same uniform or a matchup against him.”

The 18-year-old guard, currently in high school, will become eligible to be picked up by an NBA franchise in the 2024 draft.
