LeBron James will stay out of action for at least the next three weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers announced. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer has a tendon injury in his right foot.

Per Lakers:

“LeBron James has been evaluated by Lakers team physicians and medical staff, and it has been determined that he has sustained a right foot tendon injury. James will be reevaluated in approximately three weeks.”

James got injured during the game against the Dallas Mavericks Sunday (26/2). He completed the match with 26 points to help the Lakers get a stunning comeback win from down 27 but hurt his foot in the third quarter and played through the injury.

The Lakers are currently 11th in the Western Conference standings at 30-33 and one win below the Play-In zone. There are 20 games remaining in the regular season and the best-case scenario seems to be that LeBron may be eligible to play in the last nine matches.
