Seeking the best-possible seeding on the NBA Playoffs bracket, the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic overpower the Utah Jazz at home

The Dallas Mavericks rallied past the Utah Jazz, 120-116, in American Airlines Center Tuesday.

Luka Doncic made a contribution of 29 points, ten rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. The Slovenian sensation connected 10/23 from the field but did not score in the fourth quarter. Taking over, Kyrie Irving tallied 17 of his 33 points in the last period, including a key triple for a four-point lead with 2:33 remaining in the NBA Regular Season contest.

German Maxi Kleber chipped in five points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a 26-minute showing in his usual reserve role. French Frank Ntilikina dished out one assist and missed his only shot over two minutes of action. Latvian Davis Bertans did not play.

For the visitors, Finnish Lauri Markkanen returned to action after missing one game with 33 points, six rebounds, two steals, two assists, and one block, and Italian Simone Fontecchio recorded six points, three rebounds, and one assist in his first NBA start.

Bucks secure win without Giannis

Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out with an illness but the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Orlando Magic, 134-123, in Amway Center. European action was limited to the home side with German Franz Wagner logging 21 points, Italian Paolo Banchero tallying 20 points, German Moritz Wagner putting in 18 points, and Georgian Goga Bitadze getting 12 points.

Croatian Dario Saric banking in 14 points off the bench helped the Oklahoma City Thunder respond to Stephen Curry’s 40 points and upset the Golden State Warriors, 137-128, in Paycom Center. French Ousmane Dieng registered 11 points, five rebounds, and two steals.

Latvian Kristaps Porzingis fouled out with 50.7 seconds left but Daniel Gafford got the game-winner as the Washington Wizards outlasted the Detroit Pistons, 119-117, in Little Caesars Arena. Porzingis finished with 24 points and Israeli Deni Avdija added seven points.
