Free agent Kyle Kuzma has agreed on a four-year, $102M deal to return to the Washington Wizards, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, despite the decision of the team to blow up their roster after trading Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal.

Kuzma played college basketball for the University of Utah before being selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 27th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. However, he was immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he spent the first four seasons of his NBA career.

During his time with the Lakers, Kuzma emerged as a promising young talent. He quickly gained attention for his scoring ability, versatility, and willingness to contribute on both ends of the floor. Kuzma played a key role in the Lakers’ success, particularly during the 2017-2018 season when he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

In August 2021, Kuzma was traded by the Lakers to the Washington Wizards as part of a multi-team deal. He joined the Wizards and continued to be a valuable contributor to the team’s roster. Kuzma’s offensive skills, including his scoring and rebounding ability, have remained prominent throughout his NBA career.

While Kuzma’s playing time and role may vary from team to team, he is generally regarded as a versatile forward who can play both the small forward and power forward positions. He possesses good size, athleticism, and shooting range, which allows him to contribute in various ways on the court.
