Sacramento’s head coach wasn’t happy with the way the game was conducted by the refereeing trio

After Toronto’s head coach, Darko Rajakovic heavily criticized the referees after the Raptors‘ defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers, in the latest NBA Night we witnessed something similar in Milwaukee.

Some moments after Damian Lillard called game at the buzzer in overtime to give the Bucks the win over Sacramento, the Kings‘ head coach Mike Brown showed up in the post-game press conference with a laptop, showing his frustration.

He first highlighted a foul called on De’Aaron Fox for a contact with Damian Lillard in the third quarter, with the Kings down 90-88. “This is in the third quarter with 1:28 left. Go back and watch. [De’Aaron] Fox barely puts his hand on Dame’s hip. Incidental contact. He didn’t push him or anything. He barely puts his hand there, and they give him three free throws”, he commented.

“The referees are human, and they’re going to make mistakes, but you just hope that there’s some sort of consistency and there’s some sort of communication between the refs. The refs tonight were great, they communicated with me all night. But in terms of consistency, you guys saw it right here. In my opinion, the consistency wasn’t here tonight”, Mike Brown continued.

After this viral moment came down, Malik Monk commented on what his head coach just did. “I don’t want to get fined. But they miss a lot of calls with us. That’s all I’m going to say”, the 25-year-old shooting guard said. That’s not news if we’re talking about European basketball, considering that Dimitris Itoudis did the exact same thing after Fenerbahce lost to Anadolu Efes in last year’s Turkish league action.
