When Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic play, they almost always dominate and are among the best players in the NBA on any night. However, this time, two other European players stole the spotlight from them.

Domantas Sabonis led the Sacramento Kings to a 120-107 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, achieving another triple-double.

He finished the match with 17 points, 19 rebounds, and ten assists, marking his 23rd triple-double of the season and extending his record against Anthony Davis to 10-0.

The other European player who overshadowed Jokic and Doncic’s performances was Charlotte Hornets‘ Vasilije Micic. Micic scored a career-high in a 98-110 road win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Serbian guard and former EuroLeague MVP dropped 25 points and dished out eight assists, leading the Hornets to victory with his best NBA performance yet.

As for Jokic and Doncic, they both recorded wins. Nikola had 12 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists in an 88-100 road win against the Miami Heat. Luka ended his impressive triple-double streak with 21 points and nine assists in the Dallas Mavericks‘ 109-99 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Many other European players took the court as well. Simone Fontecchio scored 12 points in the Detroit Pistons‘ 113-104 win over Darko Rajakovic’s Toronto Raptors. Paolo Banchero contributed 21 points and nine assists as the Orlando Magic defeated the Brooklyn Nets 114-106, with Franz Wagner adding 14 points.

Meanwhile, Clint Capela scored 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Atlanta Hawks‘ 106-102 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, while Bogdan Bogdanovic came close to a triple-double with eight points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.
