Shams Charania previously reported that Bojan Bogdanović will undergo season-ending foot surgery, and per his latest update, the Brooklyn Nets are set to waive him.
They want to open two roster spots to sign former No. 7 overall NBA Draft pick Killian Hayes and convert Tyrese Martin to a standard NBA contract, Charania reports.
As reported, the Nets will sign Hayes on a 10-day contract after he shined for the Long Island Nets in the G League, averaging 21 points and 8.3 assists.
Bogdanović has played 719 NBA games, averaging 15.6 points and 3.6 rebounds, but his last game was in April last year for the New York Knicks.
As for Hayes, the 23-year-old French guard joined the league in 2020 after being selected by the Pistons in the draft. In four seasons, he amassed 210 regular-season appearances, averaging 8.1 points and 5.2 assists.
