After leaving Game 1 due to an illness, Kristaps Porzingis was listed as probable for Game 2 against the New York Knicks.

Down 1-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2025 NBA Playoffs presented by Google, the Boston Celtics expect the 29-year-old Latvian forward/center to play in TD Garden on Wednesday.

Porzingis has never appeared in more than seven games of a single postseason, including last year’s championship run with the Celtics. Various setbacks have slowed him down. So far in the 2025 Playoffs, he logged six games with the team guided by Joe Mazzulla, averaging 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 assists per contest.

Starting his second campaign in Boston via the 2024-25 Regular Season, the native of Liepaja, drafted by the Knicks with the fourth overall pick in 2015, drew starts across all 42 appearances, tallying 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest.

His presence, contributions on both ends of the court, proved once more essential, following his early exit combining with a losing effort at home to start the series versus the Knicks. His situation has since improved, per the latest status update provided by the C’s.

In contrast, Sam Hauser was listed as doubtful by the Celtics for Game 2 with a right ankle sprain.

The Knicks did not report any injuries ahead of the second contest of a best-of-seven series.

Moving to Madison Square Garden, Game 3 is set for the upcoming installment of NBA Saturdays.
