Despite shooting 8/25 from the field, including 0/10 three-pointers, and committing eight turnovers, Nikola Jokic enjoyed a huge win for the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

“I was trying to be physical, making good screens, shooting when I’m open,” he described his approach to individual struggles to Katy Winge of AltitudeTV after his side outlasted the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime, “Defense in the fourth quarter and overtime was really good and I think that’s why we won the game.”

The team guided by David Adelman went up 2-1 in a best-of-seven series of the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2025 NBA Playoffs presented by Google.

“They’re aggressive, physical, handsy, in the passing lanes. I don’t even know what they’re doing. If I did, I would not make those kinds of mistakes,” noted the Serbian superstar, “I need to figure out what they are doing.”

In a rough shooting night, Jokic posted a 20-point, 16-rebound double-double alongside six assists, two blocks, and two steals over 43 minutes.

“Basically, I was the worst player on the court today. But we got the win. That’s the most important,” he downplayed his contributions.

Between seven games opposite the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round and the ongoing series, the native of Sombor has tallied 24.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks per postseason affair.

Staying in Denver’s Ball Arena for Game 4, the next clash between the Nuggets and Thunder will open the upcoming edition of NBA Sundays.
