In a seven-year ongoing run with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James is determined to make an enormous mansion in Beverly Hills a future home for his family.
According to a report by The Beaumont Enterprise, the 40-year-old NBA superstar is currently in the process of constructing his dream home and has made major progress on rebuilding a mansion in Beverly Hills, California. Free time on his offseason schedule is heavily focused on developing his plans for this site with the help of his construction team. He has spared no expense seeking various features, including an indoor basketball court.
The native of Akron, Ohio, purchased the prestigious property in 2020 for 36.75 million dollars. Upon applying for permits and the necessary approval of his plans in 2023, he decided to demolish the existing home, once owned by the creator of hit soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, and then rebuild according to his ideas for the compound.
A four-time NBA champion, James is expected to pick up his contract option and enter an eighth season with the Lakers. Over 75 appearances in the 2024-25 journey, he tallied 24.5 points, 8.1 assists, 7.9 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest, until his exit opposite the Minnesota Timberwolves in the opening round of the Playoffs presented by Google.
Since being selected with the first overall pick of the 2003 draft, he has also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
Representing the United States, career highlights include capturing three Olympic gold medals.
