Following the difficult end of his 2024-25 season with the Celtics, being eliminated early in the NBA Playoffs, Kristaps Porzingis won’t have the opportunity to redeem himself in Boston.
According to Shams Charania from ESPN, the franchise has finalized a three-team trade sending the Latvian big to the Atlanta Hawks alongside a second-round pick.
Terance Mann is expected to move to the Brooklyn Nets alongside Atlanta’s No.22. Moreover, to complete the deal, Georges Niang and a second-round pick are going to the Boston Celtics.

Kristaps Porzingis’ latest season has been conditioned by minor injuries, which, collectively, have heavily downgraded his performances.
However, he still averaged some pretty good numbers in the 2024-25 season, putting up 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
He won the 2023-24 NBA Championship with the Boston Celtics. The 29-year-old player is expected to join the Latvian national team at FIBA EuroBasket 2025, which will be played in Riga alongside other countries.
