The Detroit Pistons are finalizing a one-year deal with the experienced 32-year-old swingman Javonte Green, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
After spending the 2024-25 season between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Cleveland Cavaliers, he’s now moving to Detroit, which will become his fifth NBA team, having played for Boston and Chicago too.
However, Javonte Green’s career didn’t start in the NBA straight away, as he already had overseas experiences before finding his home in the league.

Coming out of Radford University in 2015, he first got his feet wet in Europe with Spanish side Peixegalego, emerging as an interesting talent overseas.
He then moved to Pallacanestro Trieste for two years between 2016 and 2018, making his way then to ratiopharm Ulm, where he played EuroCup basketball and averaged 13.9 points per game.
Overall, in his six-year NBA career, Javonte Green has been averaging 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
