After splitting the 2024–2025 season between the G-League and a few NBA appearances with the Brooklyn Nets, 24-year-old guard Killian Hayes is reportedly aiming to secure a spot in an NBA preseason camp this summer, according to BeBasket.
Hayes attracted interest from several European clubs, including ASVEL, which reportedly made him a strong offer. However, the French-American guard declined, choosing to stay focused on pursuing opportunities in the NBA rather than returning to Europe.
Other EuroLeague heavyweights, such as Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes, reportedly also inquired about Hayes, but no concrete offers have been made. Hayes appears determined to keep his sights on the NBA, at least for now.
After playing for Cholet and Ratiopharm Ulm at the start of his professional career, he was selected by the Detroit Pistons as the 7th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Following four years with the Pistons, he spent most of last season in the G League, while also appearing in six NBA regular-season games with the Brooklyn Nets, averaging nine points and 5.2 assists.
