The Long Island Nets announced additions and promotions on the staff, heading to the 2025-26 season, including Kyle Hines being named assistant general manager.
The 39-year-old former player joined the Nets organization head of the 2024-25 season as a player development assistant of the Brooklyn Nets. His second straight season moves him to the G League affiliate as an assistant general manager with Kory Jones.
Preceding playing days were focused in Europe, including 14 EuroLeague seasons, amounting to 425 appearances. His decorated career went into four championships, two with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, and two with CSKA in 2016 and 2019. Last season, in celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Europe’s premier club continental competition, the UNC Greensboro product and New Jersey native was named on the All-25 EuroLeague Team.
An NCAA player with Arizona, Jones is entering his sixth season with the Nets. He previously served Brooklyn as basketball operations assistant, basketball operations scouring associate, basketball operations coordinator, manager of player engagement and basketball operations, and director of player engagement and basketball operations.
After two years with Temple as director of player development and previously playing in the 2018-19 edition of the Basketball Champions League, 34-year-old Khalif Wyatt emerged as the head video coordinator/player development of the Long Island Nets on head coach Mfon Udofia’s staff, alongside associate head coach Shawn Swords and assistant coach Jorge Gutierrez. Also, Thomas Bridges and Steven Kaner were named assistant coaches.
