LeBron James celebrated his 41st birthday on the 30th of December and after three days registered one more record.

The Kings become the first player over 41 to score 31 points in an NBA game, surpassing the previous milestone which belonged to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar since 1988, when he scored 25 points.

LeBron, who is already the top scorer in NBA’s history is just three assists away from being no2 in the all-time assists list.

Lakers coach JJ Redick had nothing but praise for his iconic star: “He has been phenomenal. There were a few sequences where they went on runs, and his response… It felt like almost every time we needed a basket, he got it through sheer willpower: whether by attacking the rim, driving into the paint, and going under the rim… He was phenomenal tonight”.
